Nike Air Max 90 Surplus Midnight Navy last year’s three-piece set of CORDURA-clad Nike Air Max 90 Surplus was well received by fans worldwide despite not being the most hyped sneaker out there. Long-time and newbie fans both agreed that it was a pleasant change that would fit for regions hit by harsh Fall and Winter weather. As the kicks gave an alternative to boots (which are rather unstylish for us sneakerheads) on bad days. The pack went live on Nike.com and was an instant hit, selling out relatively quickly. We expect the same popularity for the 2021 version of this silhouette. Nike is planning to reintroduce the shoe in a variety of colorways, including this “Midnight Navy” we are looking into today.
The Air Max 90 Surplus, like many other reworked alternatives for Autumn, has been given a major makeover (a facelift of some sorts), with the inclusion of the aforementioned CORDURA materials, as well as toughened shell mudguards, extra-rugged rubber outsoles, and laces which are reminiscent of those found in boots. The whole shoe is dominated by the midnight navy shade with some darker shades found on the minor details such as Swooshes, midsoles, laces, etc. Finally, splashes of Hyper Jade on the toe and tongue pocket liven up the otherwise understated design.
Expect the Nike Air Max 90 Surplus “Midnight Navy” to retail for £124.95 and be released throughout Nike’s stores, website, and partner shops. No release date has been confirmed yet but expects it to be dropped amongst the Fall/Winter lineup.
