New Safari Returns to the Air Max 90 one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes that have stood the test against time, the Air Max 90 is back. This time around, it is reimagined with the famous “Safari” print, which made its debut way back in 1987 designed by Tinker Hatfield. More recently, the safari print has been made trendy by prominent Japanese boutique retailer, atmos.
The primary colors found on this shoe include Black, Chile Red, Grey, Yellow & White. The upper all the way to the tip is covered in a grey base with black safari prints all around. This design looks very much like a hybrid between the famous elephant and zebra prints found in other Air Max. Interestingly, this pattern is also found on the insoles of the pair. Meanwhile, the toe box and tongue are covered in eye-catching “chile red” which acts as the opposing force to the neutral colors present. Further back on the ankle and heel area, you’d find a yellow base with a black heel tab. As for the usual suspects such as the Nike Swoosh, you’d find it at its normal position in signature Air Max 90 style, whereby the swoosh is slightly cut off by the black mudguard. Wrapping up the design is a white midsole on top of a black rubber outsole, as commonly found in other Air Max sneakers.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Safari” is expected to be loaded up onto SNKRS and retailers this Fall 2021. Although there is no official release date confirmed yet. Expect a retail price of around £130 to cop this pair.
