As part of her latest project, Serena Williams presents a lace less Air Force 1 LXX Zip extending her run of Nike footwear collaborations that includes Off-WhiteTM x Nike silhouettes and Serena Williams Design Crew (SWDC) shoes.
Serena Williams has been known to have a passion for fashion that extends back to her early days, in addition to her amazing career as a professional tennis player. To those who are unaware, She is a professional tennis player from the United States. She has won the most Grand Slam singles championships of any player in the Open Era and the second-most of all time. Between 2002 and 2017, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranked her singles world No. 1 eight times. After the exits of Simone Biles and Allyson Felix, the tennis star is one of Nike’s most prominent female athletes still hanging around.
The forthcoming pair features tumbled leather uppers in “Summit White,” as well as a gold zipper system in place of laces. The laterals include dual-swoosh embroidery, and Serena William’s autograph is found in gold on the heel tab. On the tongue you’d find the SWDC “10 4 01” emblem, which symbolises inclusion, diversity, and friendship. Meanwhile, on the inside there’s an interesting geometrical pattern. A clean white sole unit completes the appearance.
A release date for Williams’ Air Force 1 LXX has yet to be revealed, but official photography implies the shoe will be available shortly on Nike’s website. The combined effort costs £130.
