Nike Air Max BW City Pack To mark the 30th anniversary of a silhouette loved worldwide, Nike is releasing an Air Max BW City Pack. And what better way to celebrate than dropping 3 different colourways that will pay tribute to the 3 different cities of Los Angeles, Rotterdam, and Lyon. Design-wise, all 3 pairs bear the same structure and features. However, each one receives its own unique colourway. All the shoes feature materials: Mesh, Leather and Nylon.
First, let’s look at the Los Angeles colourway. This pair is inspired by the tropical sunset and scenery found in LA. The primary colours found on this sneaker are “Tropical Orange” and Purple. And my favourite detail found in the sneaker is the Palm Trees print on the insole. Giving us fans a reminiscence of the LA coastline. The Swoosh and Heel Tab are covered in orange. Meanwhile, the majority of the upper and outsole is covered in Black, which provides a pleasing contrast to the bright orange. To round it up, the midsole is in White. Just like all the other pairs, you’d find the words Los Angeles across the heel.
The city of Rotterdam is famous for its nightlife and party culture. So why have Nike chosen this city? It’s because many of the youths famously chose the Air Max BW as their go-to party kicks. Due to the comfort of the Air Unit provided by this shoe, partygoers could go on all night and have the time of their lives. Anyways, the Rotterdam pair is bestowed with a Bright Green colour that is found on the Swoosh, Heel Tab and Out Sole. The majority of the upper is covered in Black with a thin white strip going through the middle. White touches are seen on the ankle and midsole areas. As for the finer details, the city’s name is found written across the heel. You’d also find the words “220 BPM” on the left tongue, which stands for Beats per Minute. An obvious nod to the party culture found in this city.
Moving onto the French city of Lyon. Nike has given this city the calmest and neutral looking shoe. This pair features 3 colours which are Grey, Black & White. There are 2 shades of grey present with one of them being a silver-like palette and the other a black grey. These are primarily found in the Swoosh, Heel Tab and Toe area. Interesting details found on this pair include the colours of the French flag found on the insole. Additionally, you’ll find Lyon spelt across the heel. It is expected all 3 pairs would hit Nike and its retail partners soon. Keep your eyes out for this awesome pack!
